Disclaimer

Even though many customers report immediate pain relief, this may not be the case for you. It may take longer to get rid of your tennis elbow / golfer's elbow and of course the Masalo sleeve may not help you. Epicondylitis is a medical problem and medical issues are always individual. The healing process is different for everyone and depends on many factors. For legal reasons alone, we cannot and must not give a healing guarantee. Good recovery!

Finally a sensible product that really helps !!!

June 3, 2022

I had problems with a tennis/mouse arm from time to time. The doctors I went to always prescribed these standard bandages, which didn't help at all. Even after wearing them constantly for several weeks, the symptoms were hardly any better.

Then I found the Marsalo Bandage. At first I was skeptical because I'd already tried a lot of things, but it's really amazing!!!!

I had barely worn the Masalo for a week and the pain was significantly less. In the meantime (approx. 3 - 4 weeks) I am almost completely free of pain. I'll wear it for a few more weeks so that it heals completely and doesn't come back.

It's not a miracle cure, you need a little patience, but you notice how the discomfort decreases more and more. A big thank you to the inventor(s) of this bandage!!!

Even if I had to pay the costs myself, this support is worth every euro! I really recommend everyone to try the support. It helps!

Marcus Melis

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Hello Mr. Melis, thank you very much for your report. The Masalo® Cuff MED is a registered aid under the aid number 23.08.04.0042. Private health insurance companies generally even cover the costs in full. All other epi-bandages, braces, orthoses etc. all work with compression as their active principle. Therefore, it doesn't really matter which one you use, the effect is always the same. The Masalo® Cuff MED works with the unique counter-tension principle. This is something completely different. Even though the cuff helps quickly, it can take between 3 and 6 months to heal, so please be patient and don't take the bandage off too soon. The more consistently and frequently you use the sleeve, the quicker you will be through with epicondylitis. To be on the safe side, you are welcome to send 2 photos of your arm to our support team at support@masalo.ch so that we can see if there is anything that can be optimized. I also recommend our tips at https://www.masalo.ch/tipps-gegen-epicondylitis/. These will help you to avoid mistakes and speed up the healing process. Please contact us if you have any questions. I wish you continued good recovery. Best regards, your Masalo team Harry Röder

Standing firm pays off ...

June 2, 2022

Moin,

I'm a truck driver and in spring 2021 I suddenly couldn't lift or grip anything, especially my 'long arm'. After my visit to the orthopaedist, I was diagnosed with 'tennis elbow' on the left.

I was first given a zinc bandage, then massages, of course I was unable to work, my family doctor prescribed me a cuff in between, which I took to the cellar after wearing it for 12 hours because the pain was unbearable.

In the meantime, I was reading through Dr. Google and came across a TV report from WDR about the "Masalo cuff".

This report was very plausible and convinced me immediately, so I went to the orthopaedist and wanted to have the "Masalo cuff" prescribed, but he refused.

After I pointed out to him once again that the "Masalo cuff" was covered by the medical aid plan (or whatever it's called), he wanted to check this and finally prescribed it for me. (I had to pay an additional €70 at the time, but I would have bought it without a prescription).

I picked up the "Masalo cuff" at the medical supply store, had it explained to me how to use it, which was more difficult than I thought, as this cuff is hardly ever prescribed and the employee first had to familiarize himself with it. From then on, I wore the "Masalo cuff" without interruption, even when sleeping. I only took it off to shower and to wash the cuff (which I did at 40°C). And here's the thing:

I was able to work again from the first day as I was pain-free, except that I wasn't allowed to bump my little ankle on my elbow, which hurt,

and after eight months I was completely symptom-free.

If the figures are roughly correct, that on average you are unable to work for about 3 months and are only completely symptom-free after 2-3 years, and ...

... no medication, no radiotherapy, no surgery, or whatever other 'treatment suggestions' there are, then the few euros that the "Masalo cuff" costs are a real bargain.

P.S. I don't understand why the health insurance companies don't even ask the patients ...

Greetings from the far north, and many thanks for this really good invention

Stephan Nitzsche

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Hello Mr. Nitzsche, thank you very much for your detailed report. Yes, it's hard to understand why the health insurance companies don't all cover the full co-payment. After all, our Masalo cuff really does almost always help (provided it is applied correctly) and ensures that those affected can return to work. The health insurance companies should be able to see this from the significantly reduced costs for follow-up treatment and the reduction in incapacity for work - or so they think. So far, only AOKPlus Sachsen.Thüringen has covered the total costs, while other health insurance companies sometimes do so and sometimes not. Sometimes the costs are covered against a cost estimate, sometimes only a fraction. But there is little we can do about it, even though we have received thousands and thousands of reports that - sometimes even after multiple operations and already classified as "hopeless cases" - people have been able to work again and become pain-free with the cuff. Incidentally, the prevalence of epicondylitis among forestry workers is said to be 29% and the average period of incapacity to work is as high as 87.1 days per year. What an incredible loss for the health insurance companies... But never mind ? some things can be changed, others have to be accepted. In any case, I am very pleased that you are well again and wish you all the best for the future. Best regards Harry Röder

takes away the pain, but healing takes longer than expected

June 2, 2022

My 30 years as a draughtswoman (I work 8 hours a day on a PC) have caused me a very painful tennis elbow. After physiotherapy and stretching exercises from Liebscher&Bracht, the pain didn't get any better. I hardly used my right arm at all, every movement was agony.

Istumbled across the Masalo cuff by chance.I was very lucky and my doctor prescribed it for me, and I was also starting shock wave therapy at the time. I have been wearing the cuff since 18.03.22. The relief was noticeable relatively quickly and after 3 weeks I thought I was out of the woods. I then stopped wearing the cuff for 3 days and it got worse every day.

I am now wearing it day and night again, but I have the feeling that it is no longer helping as well. That worries me a little. I can no longer stretch my arm without the familiar pain. I wonder when I will finally be pain-free, even with the cuff?

You have to get used to the fit of the cuff, but it works quite well over time. The only thing that bothers me is that it is very sensitive to dirt. Just wearing it in the fresh air is enough to get it dirty.

Kind regards

Anke Koker

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Hello Ms. Koker, thank you very much for your report. It takes time for tennis elbow or golfer's elbow (which is even more stubborn) to heal completely. Even with the Masalo sleeve, you have to reckon with a healing period of about 3 months, in difficult cases even 6 months, until everything is possible again without pain with or without the sleeve. The brace should be worn consistently and permanently and should not be removed too soon. Even if everything is possible again without pain with the cuff on, this does not mean that everything has healed. Please contact our support team by email at support@masalo.ch and send us 2 photos of your arm with the support in place. Under no circumstances should it be the case that you are now experiencing pain with the cuff on after 3 days of not wearing it. Something is wrong and we can certainly help you. I just hope that you are not doing any stretching exercises and that the shock wave therapy has not caused any additional damage. But we can fix it. I wish you continued good recovery and we are waiting for the pictures. Kind regards Harry Röder

What a great invention

May 28, 2022

I contracted tennis elbow in May last year, I've had problems before but it usually went away on its own after a break of about 2 weeks, but not this time.

So off to the doctor yes injection here joking means there not strongly load easier said than done in June then to the radiotherapy was sent where thedoctor said to me there for it they are already quite young actually (30) well nevertheless made in the hope that it finally gets better, however, did not become better.

In August I bought the Masalo cuff and have worn it continuously since then until today, March 28th, except for sleeping, then I went to physio on my own and what can I say, it's gone, completely, biceps curls, everything works wonderfully again.

I still wear them in the gym sometimes for fear that something might pinch but otherwise everything is great, I think the combination of the Physio cuff has brought the breakthrough, thank God!

So a big thank you to Harry Röder for this great invention.

Best regards Marco.

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Hello Mr. Hahn, thank you very much for your report. We are very pleased to hear that you have got rid of your epicondylitis ? You were lucky with the radiotherapy (shock wave I assume), we have quite a few customers who had significantly more pain after such a treatment. It is also absolutely sensible to continue wearing the support as a precautionary measure during strenuous activities such as weight training, fitness, work, etc.. Then it won't even come up again. Keep up the good work ? and stay healthy. Best wishes from your Masalo team Harry Röder

Unpacked, tried on, sent back

May 17, 2022

I had hoped for improvement after a long period of pain. This product will not help. No trace of comfort. More of a hindrance than a help. No feeling of stabilization or promised relief. I at least hope for a reversal without complications.

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Hello Mr. Auge, thank you for your feedback, although this is not an experience report in the true sense of the word. Nevertheless, we would like to publish your feedback, as it is your free opinion. After announcing the return, you sent us photos which clearly showed that the support had been put on completely incorrectly and contrary to the instructions. We also informed you of this and offered you support and assistance. However, you declined our offer to help you apply the cuff effectively, stating that you were obviously unable to apply the product correctly and would prefer to return it. This is a real shame because our product could certainly have helped you with a few simple steps. Well, we can't and don't want to force anyone to accept our help, but we think you could have made an attempt. That's why I don't think your feedback is really fair - you would only have been able to judge whether the promised relief would be realized or not once you had put the product on correctly. We certainly understand that you are frustrated when it doesn't work straight away, but we don't want you to accuse us of illegally trying to prevent returns with our offer of support and assistance or with our instructions in the order confirmations. Our return rate is around 0.5% because the Masalo cuff works so well and you have received a full refund. Either way, we wish you a speedy recovery and if you get stuck, we will still be happy to help you. Best regards Harry Röder
