Disclaimer

Even though many customers report immediate pain relief, this may not be the case for you. It may take longer to get rid of your tennis elbow / golfer's elbow and of course the Masalo sleeve may not help you. Epicondylitis is a medical problem and medical issues are always individual. The healing process is different for everyone and depends on many factors. For legal reasons alone, we cannot and must not give a healing guarantee. Good recovery!

Light at the end of the tunnel

May 17, 2021

Hello, since November 2020, my tennis elbow, which had been peaceful for years, has returned. Extremely painful again since February, even with small everyday movements.

I haven't even been able to think about my fitness training since then.

Physiotherapy, a full-arm orthosis, various epicondylitis bandages and braces and cortisone infiltrations did not bring any improvement, nor did stretching exercises and hanging from a bar several times a day.

Now one last try withyour sleeve before I insist on an operation. First impressions are very positive, the extreme pain in the joint is immediately relieved. I am now waiting to see what the next few weeks will bring.

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Dear Jennifer, thank you very much for your feedback. What you write reads very well and the cuff seems to work as it should. Nevertheless, I recommend that you send us two photos of your arm with the cuff in place. We can almost always optimize the fit a little and give you helpful tips. In any case, you should be able to do sports and work without pain within a few days of putting the cuff on. In the case of heavy loads, you should wear the cuff a little tighter and work with less load and more repetitions (perform cleanly). I also recommend that you do not do stretching exercises, hanging from a bar, etc. This is counterproductive. This is rather counterproductive to our principle of action, as it creates an opposing tensile force with maximum stress on the tendon insertions. This can repeatedly rupture the micro-tears and thus significantly disrupt the healing process or even worsen the injury. However, if you absolutely want to stretch, please do so moderately and stop the exercises immediately as soon as even the slightest pain occurs. Your injury should now steadily improve with the help of the Masalo cuff, although you will need patience until it is completely healed. But you should soon be able to do everything normally again - with the support in place. Wear it as consistently as possible. If you expect to put a lot of strain on it, tighten it a little, as I said, and loosen it a little at night and during rest periods. I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to your reply. Kind regards Harry Röder

Worth it!

May 12, 2021

Hello, I have been wearing the cuff for about half a year now and can work with it absolutely pain-free.

Unfortunately, my family doctor and my orthopaedist doubted the effect of the cuff on my golf arm, so I bought it privately and it was really worth it!!!

I do have one suggestion for improvement though, it would be nice if there was alsoa black version, the white one is unfortunately very sensitive to dirt and in summer you don't always wear long sleeves.

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Hello Michael, thank you very much for your report and the suggestion for improvement. First of all, the black version has already been developed and we are currently waiting for production samples before we can release it for production. Unfortunately, this kind of thing takes a long time in the medical field, and we have been working on it for almost 2 years. What you have experienced with your family doctor and orthopaedic surgeon leads to the conclusion that neither of them have really studied the principle of action. If we pull the entire tissue of the forearm - the forearm sleeve encloses the entire forearm - towards the elbow, then logically both tendon insertions at the elbow must also be relieved. You are welcome to contact us about such things, we can always help 🙂 Unfortunately, it is not easy to break down the thought patterns that have become ingrained due to decades of the only available compression effect of other epi products and to achieve a rethink. Unfortunately, this often only happens when several patients show up at the doctor's afterwards and are able to move again. After that, however, it works really well because doctors are always interested in making patients feel better. It's great that you've been patient, because golfer's elbow is very stubborn and protracted 🙂 Don't put the cuff out of reach and either wear it prophylactically if you expect heavy strain, or put the bandage on straight away if you notice that it might start again. I wish you all the best and stay healthy. Kind regards Harry Röder

Great relief

May 3, 2021

I have had tennis elbow since mid-December and ordered the cuff before Easter and have now been wearing it for exactly 1 month.

Unfortunately, the cuff is probably not well known among doctors and the medical supply store in our town did not know any doctor who would have prescribed it.

So I ordered them myself and am completelyconvinced. I had a noticeable improvement after just 2 weeks.

After 4 weeks I can lift again without pain, but if I want to bring something down from a greater height, it still hurts.

I really like wearing the cuff, but I don't need it at night. To put it on correctly, I watched the movie several times and found that it doesn't bother me at all if it fits correctly.

I think I will miss them when the arm is healthy again.

Kind regards from the Saarland

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Dear Ms. Blinn-Schneider, thank you very much for your feedback. It's great that you're feeling well again 🙂 Yes, you really get used to the cuff and like wearing it because it takes away the pain. I would really recommend to everyone that you never put the cuff completely out of reach, even after it has fully healed, and that you wear it prophylactically if possible during activities that put a lot of strain on your arm. Even if I believe that you have put the cuff on correctly, it might help if you could send us two more photos. We can often optimize a little and the problem will be over even faster. However, I don't understand why no doctor wanted to prescribe the cuff. This is because it is registered under the number 23.08.04.0042 in the GKV's list of medical aids as a medical aid requiring benefits and can be found in all relevant systems. That's why it's always good to get in touch with us, we always find a solution 🙂 I wish you all the best and stay healthy. Best regards Harry Röder

Painless

April 15, 2021

Hello,

I also suffered from tennis elbow in both arms for about 2.5 years. Everything possible was tried, from cooling to tablets, cortisone injections to arthroscopy...., without success! Then I saw the report on "Einfach genial".

It all sounded very plausible! I called my health insurance company and asked about the assumption of costs. They (IKK classic) covered the costs ofa "normal" orthosis registered with them, i.e. 50%. So I ordered these cuffs for both arms.

I wore them day and night for about 1 month, and then only during the day. I am also a "desk worker" who uses a keyboard and mouse (ergonomically) all day long.

I can't confirm that the pain was gone immediately, but I did feel significant relief. I wore the cuffs for a total of about 15 months. Since then I have been pain-free.

There was a short time when it was slightly tight again in the forearm. I wore them again for 2-3 days and then it was fine again! A really great product that I would definitely recommend!

Answer from Masalo Cuff Switzerland

Hello Mr. Ryßél, thank you very much for your report. We are really pleased that you are feeling well again 🙂 Yes, not everyone is completely pain-free straight away, but you have to feel the relief and be able to move again - even if it pinches again. You can then overcome your epicondylitis by wearing it consistently. With tennis elbow, this is usually a little quicker than with golfer's elbow. But either way, you've got rid of the problem and that's all that matters 🙂 We wish you all the best for the future and stay healthy. Best regards Harry Röder
